Command Decisions- Fulda Gap 2010
November 5-7, 2010

If you have never been to Fulda Gap, you have not played in a major paintball event. This is the
east coast's largest yearly event. It is a full weekend of adrenaline pushed gaming. This game is
so big that when this event is over, the following weekend starts the planning for the next years game.
The generals have already been chosen and are recruiting. For the NATO it is Larry "Iron Man" Rivenbark
from Team Rogue Cell. For Warsaw it is Doug Brown from Team ODX. This year NATO will be
trying to win this game after Warsaw has been the victor for the past 4 years. Check out the site and
the Fulda Gap forums for game info.

Black River Paintball- "Farm" field
July 24, 2010

This game was HOT!! Heat index of 109*. To all the players that came out and played, you are true paintball junkies.
The turn out wasn't huge but it made field play a lot of fun. With the size of BR's Farm field, it made flanking and recon
a fun tactic in the game. The Wolverines, 4 of us, played on the Samurai side. We ran missions and just did assaults
all day long. Mike played with his pistol some and made an awesome sneak attack on some guys in the kill house by the pond.
The Vikings were led by Ed from Forlorn Hope. They fought hard all day but in the end, the Samurai led by Carlos
were victorious. Thanks to Bryan for putting on a great game.

Sportsmanslodge Paintball- Jacksonville, NC
July 17, 2010

Patriot 2010

This was a fun game on a field we hadn't played on before. This game matched the Americans against the British.
The Wolverines played on the British side and our friends at Chrono 301 were on the Americans. The game play
was interesting at first. The missions were ran for 45 mins to 1 hour. This gave each team a full force for the entire game
unless you were eliminated. Then we took a break for 20-30 minutes to reload, re-air and hydrate. The battles were great
and both teams played really well. In the end, the British took home the win. A big thank you to Ivan at the Lodge,
John from Chrono 301 and Waverly from Valken. Great game.

Black River Paintball- Fayetteville "Freedom" field
June 19, 2010

It was a muggy hot game down at the Fayetteville BR Field. The Americans and Russians faced
off for battle. The players had a large field to navigate about. It made for some great flanking
maneuvers by small squads that would totally surprise the other team. The patches of high brush
made for some CQB style fire fights in the woods. The structures like the White House and
Rocket City saw action all day long. Some missions involved teams going after the same
location and others allowed teams to take points of locations close to their CP. But sometimes
a mission that seems like it would be a piece of cake and have a point reward was not always
completed. The Americans ended as the victors in this fight but the Russians
made them earn every point.

6Day War
Boss Paintball
June 12, 2010

This was a fun and HOT game. There were 220 players that braved the
heat to do battle at Boss Paintball. There were many many teams that showed
up as well as plenty of walk on players. The battles were spread out all over the
field and many were intense fights for the real estate and  for the points. The final
battle was for 1000 points to whichever team held the Ark at the end of the game.
The Egyptians took the Ark first and held it for over 30 minutes but in the last few
minutes, the IDF took it and the points and won the game. Great job by all that
played and to Boss Paintball and the refs for a great game. They also raffled off
prizes throughout the day and gave away a brand new EGO 10!!!

Battlestar Galactica: Fight for Caprica
Black River Paintball Coats field
May 15-16, 2010

BR's first 24hr game went off pretty well. There wasn't a huge turn out like some previous games but there
were a lot of teams that showed up to play. Hayden (Cylon general) did a great job of recruiting teams for
his side. "Mayhem" for the Colony side was called away so they had to scramble for a new general. The game
went on though. It was a tough fight the whole weekend for the Colony side. The Cylons dominated Saturday
and for the night game, they held off the Colony from gaining too much ground. Sunday had some awesome battles.
4 of the Wolverines joined in the battle on Sunday and we helped push the Cylons back to their CP several times
throughout the day. In the end though, the Cylons still kicked ass with a 600 point lead. Great game to all that came
out and endured the heat, mosquitoes and the ramping.

Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2
Paintball Central: Greensboro Field
April 3, 2010

You missed out if you didn't make this one. It was a great day of play. Our original general for
the Russian team was unable to make it. Mitch "Vader" stepped in as general. Hayden from
Tac Team 4, that was playing with our group, played XO and general for a little bit too. We
pushed the American forces around the field all day but in the end, they ended up winning by
only 60 points. We played a great game and walked away with several awards. Mitch won an
appreciation award for stepping in to be the general. Charles won a Best Sportsmanship award.
Evan won the MVP for the Russians and the team took Most Notorious Opponent. Great job by
all that showed up.

Black River Paintball "Farm"
March 27, 2010

This was one of the best games played at BR. The 3 teams made for interesting game play the
entire day as well as the Death Knights which were unstoppable. At the end of the day, the
Alliance were the victors. The Scourge came in a close 2nd by only 140 points and the Horde
took 3rd place. Congrats to the MVT and MVP's for the game. For the Alliance it was
the Black Knights, for Scourge it was Tac Team IV (in their 1st paintball event) and for Horde
it was the Buffet Bullies.

Splatbrothers Park- Hopewell, VA.
March 13, 2010

This turned out to be a great game. The weather was looking terrible but it broke
and a great day of play developed. In the end though, the NVA defeated the
Americans. Check out SplatBrothers forums for game details and videos.

Black River Paintball "Farm"

This was a great game. The teams did a great job at keeping the game interesting. The field commanders were right in there rallying troops to the front lines and engaging the enemy. The gliders and airborne drops made the game play fun and so did the 4" of snow!! In the end, the Germans beat the Russians by a score of 975 to 1000. Congrats to Forlorn Hope on winning MVT.

Black River Paintball "Farm"

Well we knew it was going to be a great game and it was. The Demons defeated the
Angels by a score of 825 to 525 and that was after the Angels won the final battle which
gave them 250 points. It was a fun day of battles. We fought each other (and the rain)
on and off throughout the day along with the fog of war in our goggles.
Dave and Steve took MVP for our team for their mission running. Awesome guys!!

A big thanks to the Black Knights  and the BR Boyz for stepping in to ref this event.

Splatbrothers Paintball Park

We had a great game at Splatbrothers. It was a little humid at first which
caused some goggle fog but eventually the sun came out and helped with that.
We ran missions all day long from Gen. Traffic from team SoVa. In the end, our team
did not prevail as the winning team. We did come away with the MVT for the game for
our side. It was Dave and Steven's drive and determination that helped push out the
missions for us and ensure they were carried out. We even had guys and mascots from
Team Rats coming over to say hello and congratulate us.

Black River Paintball- Farm

This turned out to be a great game. It was a hot one but there were 210 players
that turned out to participate in this BT World game. Both teams fought to make
their team the winner to push the world wide standings higher. On the BR field, the
TRID team were the victors. Their win affected the rest of the games yet to play
across the world. It was awesome.

Black River Paintball- Farm

This turned out to be a great game. Turn out was a little weak but the teams
had some good battles throughout the day. Check the BR forums for game
AAR's and pictures posted by several players.

Black River Paintball- Coats "Farm" field

It was a great day for a face off. Both teams fought hard all day. There
was a great turn out as well. The player numbers made the game play well
all day. The field was not too crowded at all. In fact, the boundary tape line
in the Amazon was moved back making the playable area huge. Congrats to the
Russian team for winning over the Order of Destruction. Check the
BR forums for AAR's and comments.

Ice Station Delta
Paintball Virginia
Feb. 28, 2009

The Story:

At the height of the cold war, all communications was lost with a small medical research facility in the furthest regions of Alaska
a satellite fell from the skies. Both sides knew that they had to have that satellite and the information on it. The USA sent in Delta Force, the most elite of fighting forces in the free world. The USSR sent in SPETSNAZ, their most elite of troops trained in espionage and counter tactics. They are one Hugo boss suit away from being KGB. Their mission, recover the satellite and all its parts and information, at all costs. The USA mission, protect their country from an invading force and recover the satellite and all its parts.

~~~~~~~~~
This was to be a great day of playing but the weather totally owned the day. The rain
started just after the safety briefing and just as we were taking the field and it just
kept falling the rest of the day. It also kept attendance down to about 20 per team.
Black River Paintball- Coats "Farm" field
We thought this game was going to be epic and it was. There was a total
of 429 players for this years game. Amazing!!! There were great battles
throughout the day but in the end, the American team led by Bryan Taylor triumphed
over the German team led by Danny Denning. Be sure to check the BR forums for game
AAR's and pictures posted by several photographers present.
